  5. Alan don't developp the program now, so I (Roland) have asked him the
  6. permission to continue the development. So I have adapted the source
  7. code to localize it and use the gtlayout.library for requesters. For
  8. the moment only the french catalog is available (but the program is
  9. english buit-in). This version of the program is freeware, just send
  10. me your bug reports and new catalogs, so I'll join the new catalogs
  11. in the next release if there is some demand.

  13. From version 3.18 QuickFile uses a new format for definition and view
  14. files. It will not read the old versions now, use version 3.18 or 3.19
  15. to read old files and save them to the new format.

  17. If you are an existing user of an earlier version, be careful that you do
  18. not overwrite any of your existing views or definitions until you are sure
  19. that the new version meets your requirements.

  21. If you open the demo databases from the project icons, you may need to
  22. change to paths for the external programs. Use Alter on the Project
  23. definition to do this. They will all work correctly if you start the
  24. program from the QuickFile icon.
